Long Time No Post

Once again - it's been a while since I've posted. It's been rather busy lately, with lectures and reading and tests and coursework and all sorts. And also upcoming assignments =[ bad times.

The weather's changing... it's officially really, really cold. It's been cold for a while, but recently it's been chilly-cold, if you get what I mean. The wind just pierces through the skin~~ that's actually a really scary thought.

I've also been missing my guitar and piano lately: I shall blame Alice Nine for that. Actually, I've been listening to a lot of music lately. I've been watching stuff too, but a little less. It's because I can do work and listen to music at the same time; but I can't do work and watch drama at the same time, mainly because I need to read subtitles. So yeah, I've been listening to Alice Nine, Jay Chou, etc.

Oh oh, about a year or so ago, I was finding Alice Nine guitar tabs, then I came across their bandscores on YesAsia. Initially I thought they were scores for the whole album and I was like O_O WOW *mustbuymustbuy*... then I concluded that must be too awesome to be true and I saw a bandscore for a single song somewhere, so I thought it was only one song. But it's not actually true. You actually get scores for a whole album of songs.

So mwuahahaha, so aim is to save up at buy the Vandalize bandscore, and look at the Mirror Ball one and use that to figure out the awesome piano arrangement version. There a 'Vandalize version' of Mirror Ball in the album and it's really awesome. It's just the piano and Shou's voice *^^* They also did this version live and it's so amazing. I remember when I used to walk home listening to that song on the iPod... good old 'getting the bus from St Albans to Hemel and then having to walk 15 minutes home in the cold and dark' times!

IX. Mirror Ball [Vandalise Edition]

They're so cool, they're basically another shopping website but they even sell guitars... incredibly expensive but it's nice just to have a look ^^

They even sell awesome picks! They only sell the Saga pick though... as much as I love Saga and as sexy as he is... they should sell more Alice Nine ones... a Hiroto one will be much loved too. Oh oh, they even sell L'arc~en~ciel picks.

In between writing this post... I've been 'browsing' the website... so cool! I may have to buy the Saga pick... or two... I feel like I need a spare in case I lose the first one... shipping isn't too bad either =]

I think I'm going to explode from excitement: http://japan-discoveries.com/index.php?main_page=index&cPath=2_13_23
As you may have gathered, buying unnecessary stuff is a hobby of mine... having more than two picks is essentially unnecessary because you only need one to play the guitar... but all the picks look so awesome ^^

I think I'm going to close that tab before it distracts me any more *was actually making notes*

Sam The Samurai

The other day, I was bored out of my mind in the lecture (and sleepy - I don't think the cold & flu tablets were non-drowsy) so I started to draw. I wanted to copy Naa-chan and draw a comic too. I love Naa's ninja-chan! So I wanted to do something similar and draw a samurai-san! (plus I watched a film about samurai's last week).

Unfortunately I wasn't blessed with an artistic talent and I don't have the time to finish a whole storyboard (though it would have been cool - and I have actually half planned one). Reminds me, I should actually get working on the Purple Peace comic too...

I apologise for the bad quality - I don't have a scanner at the moment, so I had to take a photo on my webcam

I had fun cleaning him on photoshop

A darker looking Sam - I got a little carried away on photoshop ^^

P.s. I named him Sam just so there's an alliteration: Samurai Sam-san

Choco Choco Cake

I feel slightly proud, being able to update twice this week - both of which, the main topic is food.

I present: TA-DAH!!! CHOCOLATE CAKE

I have to say though, it looks better in reality than in does in this photo and tastes not too bad ^^ It's actually really difficult to take photos with the webcam. It's one of those built in ones and basically if you want to take a photo and it's at the wrong angle, you have to shift the whole laptop - or the cake; either way: it's difficult =[

I haven't really written much besides food. I'll talk about my oh-ever-so-interesting day T_T Well, here goes, I set my alarm for 8:30am, but I wasn't planning to get out of bed till 9am (hence the next alarm was at 9am). Then at 9am I was feeling like crap due to lack of sleep (two factors: I slept late and I had a bad night's sleep (there were quite a bit of noise... I think I recall at about 4:50am or was it 4:20am, either way, outside was noisy, so I looked out the window and saw something like a fire engine - but it may not have been a fire engine, it could have just been a truck - I'm way too sleep to remember the details)). Back to the getting ready... oh yeah, one of the reasons I slept late was because I had to write notes for my seminar at 10am (hence the waking up early). I actually had already written some notes during yesterday, but I felt like I should write more - so I did. Then I was all jolly (yet sleepy) going to this seminar, I just couldn't wait to get it out of the way. It was in a building called the Hicks building - there was a small problem: I didn't know where the entrance was, but that was quickly solved after walking round the building =D

So... this seminar, it was in room F41. I made my way up two floors to the F floor (by the way, the ground floor is called the D floor for some reason). Then I made it all the way to the end of the corridor and found room F41. I saw some people there, I smiled (since I couldn't actually recognise) and sat down, then I received a few more smiles. And then the girl in front turned to me and asked whether I'm in this maths seminar and I was like ... O_O... no...
Of course, it turns out that wasn't the management seminar... so I tried the bunch of people I saw waiting in the corridor earlier... they were also not management people. Then I tried all the rooms in that corridor. I started to think where I went wrong: 10am check, Hicks building check, room F41 check. What's going on?

I made my way back down and of course no one was at the reception. Then I stood there and tried to think. I made my way back up to see if there would be any other management kid as confused as I am. Then I saw this dude walking through the double doors from the corridor looking lost. And I was thinking: this is my chance (to know I'm not the only one being stupid and getting lost). And yes: he was lost too. Great. We went down to the reception (and of course someone is there now). Then we rang this woman and as I was explaining to the woman on the phone the man was still looking through the rooms timetable and he suddenly says 11 o' clock. And then the woman on the phone gives us the details of the seminar and location and time: 11 o' clock.

So the underlying story is: I got the time wrong and ended up waking up an hour early. There were lots more annoying details in there but there's no need to share any more bad parts of the day =P Mind, that was only the morning, but the rest of my day isn't too bad ^^

I hope you (yes, you, the person reading this right now) have an awesome day ^^

Pancakes

It's been a while since I've last updated... I've been meaning to update but I don't really have anything special to talk about...

So instead, I shall present you with my pancakes. The ones I made today doesn't look as good as Saturday's, I think it's because of the hob...
