Another: Long Time No Post

I don't know how long it's been since the last time I've blogged. I do miss blogging, but finding the time is a pain. It must have been at least two months since my last post - so be prepared for a long, long post.

Well, I'm back to uni. It was great to see all my uni friends again and meet new ones! I must say, as someone who is used to being the youngest, suddenly meeting all these freshers (where most of them are younger than me): I feel old. Moving on from the age issue, first year really was a doss. It didn't feel like it last year, I feel like I still had to work a lot, but second year is no joke. The economics is on a whole new level and this year I have a good feeling about management, at least I don't feel like crap after four hours (or six continuous hours) of management on a Friday. Maybe it's because we've got better lecturers this year, or... I don't know, it just feels better this year and I'm keen on being optimistic! =D But it's week 4 and I've done nothing. I've opened my stats book now and then but I really am getting behind. Hopefully by week 6 or 7, I shall have caught up on everything. And now I don't dare to miss an economics lecture because I know I will be forever behind (I already am!).

I am proud to say, that I have been going to badminton once a week! It's about time I got back into this habit. I had plans to go to yoga three times every two weeks, but I'm yet to attend my first lesson. They start at 9:30am (other lesson times include 7:30am (I don't think so), and they do have evening times which sort of clash with everything else) - so 9:30am classes it is! I still haven't woken up early enough to attend any of the classes yet. Plus, it's a 20-25 minute up hill walk to get to the place where they hold the classes. Next Saturday, I am determined to go to the 9:30am class (if I manage to sleep early enough on Friday night).

Megan will be so proud of me: I've finally joined the taekwondo club! I've wanted to do taekwondo for such a long time! I remember we wanted to join during sixth form but it was way to intimidating, everyone there was a black belt... so we decided to concentrate on our A-levels instead. Then I was determined to join when I' in uni, but last year I was too much a wimp to join on my own. And now I've finally joined =D I thought that if I don't join this year, I'm never ever going to join. And so I did. It was awesome! I had such a busy day and was so ill yesterday, but after tkd, it felt awesome! Two hours of intense exercise did the trick! I do have to say that the warm up was more intense than the actual training... Ah, reminds me of the good old kick-boxing days =)

Oh oh, I saw a full rainbow this morning! So I know today is going to be an awesome day!! =D I tried to take a photo but the camera on my phone is too inferior and did not do the rainbow justice so I won't even bother uploading it. But it was so beautiful <3

I must go now. But it was good blogging again! All thanks to my weekly digest of Saar's blog (wego2gether) that I remembered to blog!

Have a nice day =D

My Day Today

I've had quite a good and tiring day and I'm just feeling quite happy and energetic at the same time. So I thought I'd post (because I have half an hour spare because my lecture was cancelled).

This morning, I woke up at half 8, then didn't get out of bed till 9am. My lecture was at 10am (ideally I'd leave around 9:40-9:45). But today, for some reason, it took me forever to get ready. I went to wash my face and brush my teeth, then I decided to use my to use my other facewash thing, so that wasted a bit of time. Then I had to do my make up and then I realised I didn't really have anything to wear. I haven't done the laundry in over a week but that wasn't even the problem. I don't know whether it's just me or does everyone else get this problem too? Finding clothes to wear, but you also have to make sure you didn't wear it on the same day last week. Also I've gained a bit of weight lately x_x I also had to prepare clothes for badminton today. So long story cut short: I didn't go to the 10am lecture.

My next lecture was at 12pm, so I left a bit earlier to print of some lecture notes for the maths lecture this morning. Then I went to the lecture =] It was such a... what's the word I'm looking for... lecture. Basically, in this module, this term we'll have different people lecturing us and stuff... and today, it was this biology lecturer who lectured about sex, animal sex I might add. First, he told us we're squid - smart squid. Because graduates are like squid, only one in a million survives... so only smart squid, like us, will survive in the job market... all of our reaction were: oookkayyyy o_O
Then here came the real biology talk, it was more or less about sexual selection and lots of other stuff that I won't go into detail about. It was funny though.

Then we had about 45 minutes to kill before going to badminton. So we went to the IC (library) and a friend and I just went through our tutorial work to compare answers. Then we went to badminton, we had to trek all the way to the Goodwin centre which takes at least 15 minutes to get there (if you walk at our speed xD) Then we didn't know what to do, it was the first time I booked a court, so we just sort of tried to ask and the woman wasn't very nice. Then she sent us to another building to hire rackets/racquets (I never know which way it is, I always thought it was the latter but I could be wrong). We thought we'd hire racquets during the first week and see how it goes. If it goes alright, we'll buy our own for next week. I don't know where my badminton racquets are from home, otherwise I'd just take one from home, it'd be better than having to buy one. (I just Googled it, it can be spelt either way, both racket and racquet are correct... this just underlined 'spelt', either I spelt 'spelt' wrong or this is just being weird.) Anyway, then we walked all the way back to the court (well it's only like a 1 minute walk) then my friend pointed out that we didn't have a shuttlecock, so I had  buy one for £1.50, which is quite a rip off for just one but you need what you need. So we finally started playing and it was fun. I was crap at the beginning (and still am) after not playing for so long. But even years ago, when I did play, I still wasn't very good. But yeah, overall, it was fun. And at first, we were just playing normally. Then at one point, we decided to play points and first up to 5, then we'd swap round. Heheh once we started counting points, I think the competitiveness came out =P

I had to leave badminton fifteen minutes early to get to my tutorial. Jeez, I wasn't even sweating from the badminton, but I was sweating from the walking to the management building (it's far from the sports hall). Then we made it on time which was good. Because my friend and I had decided where we want to sit (it's basically a small room with about 4 rows of seats) and I basically wanted to sit on the penultimate row close to the wall, because those seats, you get picked on less lol xD There's actually a lot into that kind of stuff: where to sit to not get picked on xD

Then I had another lecture, we were meant to watch this 50 minute film but the video player (yes, video) didn't work. So she was like 'we can either cancel it and rearrange, or we could have next week's lecture now (but that lecture sorts of build on the video)'. She said to put your hand up if we should just cancel it and rearrange... and I've actually never been so eager to put my hand up... hence I've got some spare time to blog today.

I still have to shower, wash my clothes, hoover, and everything else though. I could do the laundry and hoover tomorrow but I think it's just best to get it over and done with because my mum might be visiting tomorrow night. I'd rather do it now than rush tomorrow and then get told off for being so messy. When it comes to doing the laundry, they are the times that I wish I lived at home =P

Busy Thursday

I have no drawings to contribute to this blog today... This term is way busier than last term. But later on tonight, I'll try and do more of the Purple Peace comic, but that's way stressful so I may just go to bed instead heheh xP

Hmmm I had three lectures today =[ From now on, Thursday is a super busy day. Some weeks I'll also have tutorials. I don't really have much to talk about today but I just want to post something xP

Oh, I'll share some happy news. I got my coursework back for one of my management modules and I got 85% =] I think it's about time I worked hard and get better grades, I've slacked for a bit too long since I've come to uni. But that essay, all I did was waffle and question things xP And the lecturer's notes on my essay was super difficult to read, but I think I managed to decipher it hehe =]

About 40 minutes ago, I tried to make pancake. It came the point where I was sifting the flour and I realised that I don't have any eggs, I'm so smart x_x So I went down to Tesco to buy some eggs and all the cheaper ones were gone and it wasn't until today that I realised how expensive eggs are. I was going to buy a pack of six, then I decided to buy a pack of ten for two reasons: they work out cheaper per egg hehe ^^ and that might encourage me to bake more (I baked lots at the beginning of the term but I'm gradually running out of time =[ but I really hope I can bake more and also decorate cakes but it's really sad because I can't finish them on my own, I'm not sure my friend's truly appreciate it =[ and sometimes it's a bit weird if I keep giving my flatmates cakes and cookies).

It's 7pm now and I'm starving even though I just ate 4 pieces of pancakes. (my recipe makes around 8 pieces, hence usually I half all the ingredients and just make 4 which is just enough to make a nice snack hehe ^^) but for some reason, I'm really hungry. (I suddenly crave sushi, actually I've been craving sushi all week.) I think I eat too fast, so even after I eat, I'm still really hungry... but then after a while, my stomach and brain catches up with the fact I've just eaten xD then I'll suddenly feel really full =P

Oh oh, I started a new drama. I can't even remember what it's called, but it's got Mike He in ^^ He's so good looking, but I'm not fond of his hair style... it's a bit too thick =[ but it's pretty good. I think it's adapted from a manga judging by the storyline. So check it out if you have time ^^

Back To Uni

I started lectures again today. I was so tired though. Even though I slept till 9:30 this morning and I was really tired. My poster woke me up though... I heard it fall and since then it has been annoying me by refusing to stick on the wall >=[ but I attacked it with a huge blob of blue tack. Mwuahaha >=]

This term is so much more intense compared to last term. I have two maths lectures instead of one so I guess I'll have to do double the work. And I decided to be a good girl and started to make notes already... but this chapter is huge and I'm bored already. Its about functions of  or more independent variables =[

Today I also went into town and bought some stuff. I bought washing up liquid =] because my flatmates keep using mine and I can see it running out very soon. I also finally bought a refill for my Ambi Pur thing (I bought it ages ago, when I first moved in, and I didn't know you had to buy the fragrance separately, so for months I've just had this 'plug')... It's one of those you plug into the socket but this one's a light sensor so it's on during the day and it turns itself off at night. But actually, that's just weird... I just switch if off at the switch. Because it's stupid if it's on all day, because after a while, you won't notice it. So I switch it off when I'm home, then I switch it on before I go out, so when I come back it's all nice and fresh =]

My room is just too messy right now. I'll tidy it soon... I went into my flatmate's room to have a chat today... and her room in it's 'messy' state is ten times tidier than mine...

Plus the winds in Sheffield are ccrrraaaazzzyyy. Long hair + wind = hair in face. I was walking back from town and I could hardly walk.

I don't have any drawings to post today. I tried to draw in one of my lectures... I did an eye from the side but that wasn't anything special. Then I drew this squirrel character from my folder, but that didn't turn out too well either...

I'll post a different type of picture though.

This is an email from DVDHeaven that came through today. I really want these JYJ (*cough*justJaeJoongreally*cough) t-shirt(s). But I was rather offended when I looked at the price. Firstly, they're crazily expensive anyway. And now I refuse to keep being ripped off by all these companies for these rubbish quality t-shirts *cough*mymirotictshirt*cough* =[
But the price difference between their t-shirts made me sad:
JaeJoong: $59.04 USD
YooChun: $83.04 USD
Junsu: $46.94 USD

I'm happy that JaeJoong's isn't $83.04, because $60 dollars is more affordable than $83 =.=" but why is JaeJoong's t-shirt cheaper than YooChun's? (In my head, I feel like: price of t-shirt = popularity)

Actually I don't really know what's the main point I wanted to make. I just wanted to point out that they're different prices and that annoys me.

Anyway, my brain energy levels are dropping rather rapidly...
Have a lovely week ^^

Dropping the coursework baggage

YAY! I finished my coursework. It's not very good and the more I think about it, the more I didn't answer the question but it's too late for that... (translation: I'm too lazy to change it). I printed it off and handed it in this morning. And when I handed it in the woman at the enquiry office apologised that the computer was being slow, because the first one tends to be slow. (I have to print of a coversheet, each person has a unique bar code and she scans the barcode). Anyway, I was happy because I was the first one to hand in my coursework =D (mind, it's due Monday... and the management school isn't open on weekends, so it's either today or Monday... and it doesn't feel right, handing in coursework on the last day).

Recently (two days ago, to be exact), I've been listening to Jay Chou's new concert album. It's sooo good! I strongly recommend it ^^ I love listening to concert albums because even though you're not there and you're not even watching it, just listening to the audio you can feel the music =) Track 5 is I'm Not Worthy (ζˆ‘δΈι…), it's so good in the album and he changes a bit in the middle... hehe *fangirl moment*
Even his faster songs, which I occasionally skip when they come up on my iPod, when I was listening to this album, I was going to skip Sunshine Boy (or something on the lines of that, I need to work on my Chinese), because it's slightly too happy for a ballad lover xD but it sounds so good that I didn't even skip it =]

And last week, or the week before, I found a piano score to Saturday Night  I love that song like no tomorrow ^^  and I printed it out today =] even though I don't have a piano in Sheffield, but I'll try and follow the piano score and work out the guitar as well =] hehehehehhe

Have a lovely day ♥
