Paradise Kiss

It's approaching midnight and I should be off to bed soon... I'm determined to sleep earlier to avoid feeling like crap during early mornings. I started an anime called Paradise Kiss last night, just because I tend to need to watch something before I go to bed. I wasn't too sure of it at first, because the art seemed really weird and I wasn't sure that the storyline was my thing. But because it was made by the same producers as Nana, I thought I'd give it a go. I actually wanted to rewatch Nana because I just love that anime so much, but it's just too long... I just won't sleep and I'll end up not doing any work (not like I actually did work in the first place)... speaking of Nana, I still need to carry on reading the manga... Anyway, Paradise Kiss turned out okay. I wouldn't say that I loved it, but I liked it.

Paradise Kiss
So... Paradise Kiss is about his girl called Yukino (maybe? After 12 episodes, I still can't remember her name...) who is an obedient student and you know, the typical study-girl. Then one day she's approached by some people who are working on a clothes brand called 'Paradise Kiss', or 'Parakiss' for short. And they ask her to become their model for a school festival show... then a lot of stuff happens and she becomes their model. She also falls in love with the main dude, George, who is the designer of Paradise Kiss. And throughout the episodes, a lot of stuff happens up to the main show. Then the last two episodes are about after the show and how things work out for them etc. I didn't really like the ending... I won't spoil it by telling you how I didn't like it... but nonetheless, it was enjoyable. I'm still not convinced I like the art, though some of it was good. And I didn't like the inconsistency of the main girl's character. Sometimes she was timid, then sometimes she was really headstrong... and I just didn't feel like it fitted together very well at some parts. The music in this was alright... the storyline was pretty good. And I think the main reason I liked it was it gave that 'Nana feel'. It also had this 'life' feel... not just some typical shoujo anime where I can basically predict the whole series from episode 1. Anyway, if you have a spare four hours, give it a go ^^

Udon

I think I'm having a blogging rave today... I keep posting stuff... it's because it's my day off and I just have too much spare time on my hands. Besides cooking, I have done nothing productive x_x

Anyway, here's my udon ^^

Cutting the dough into strips so that they actually look like noodles =P

Boiling it. This bit takes forever T_T

Draining/rinsing it. I have to wash it in cold water for about 5 minutes, just to get all the starch off

Actually cooking it... adding flavour in the soup base

TA-DA! Those two round things are fish balls, they're amazing. And I had three pieces of crabstick left over so I thought I might as well eat them with my udon =]

Whilst I was waiting for the udon to cook, I took a photo from my balcony ^^

Cookies

I think I have tried to make double chocolate chip cookies several times before and they never turn out too right. So... being as stubborn and competitive (with other cookie makers) as I am, I decided to give it another go and it turned out okay ^^

Batch one

Batch two

A gigantic cookie

The gigantic cookie fell when I tried to open the door =[ and hence only half of it is left =[

My weekend in London

I had an amazing weekend in London, meeting my Portuguese friend, Ricardo... and I took Naa along. It was really tiring but really, really fun ^^

Here are some photos. I tried to limit myself and only post a selection of them, otherwise this post will be super long xP

Naa on the Lonely Road.
Yes, I named the pathway in St James' Park, 'the Lonely Road'

David, an awesome musician in Covent Garden. I keep saying this, but it was like listening to the live version of mellow magic ^^
(mellow magic is a time at night on Magic 105.4 fm where they play some awesome old songs ^^)

Just Another Waffle

I've just been writing a lot in my blog posts recently. I thought I'd add a few photos to make it a little less boring.

Yesterday's sky

This morning's sky

Pancake

As usual, blogging is one of my ways to procrastinate/distract myself/run away from work. Today's been a fairly good day. Though I woke up at a little bit pass half seven and then couldn't really get back to sleep properly. I finally got out of bed at 10am... then just doped around. Then I went to play badminton again today, I'm really glad I'm picking it up again. I really like badminton and I hope I can improve =] I miss those relaxed high school days where I have badminton training every Thursday lunch time.

There's actually so much work to do, that thinking about it makes my brain melt. It's not quite helping that I'm cold (I had the window opened for about two hours just to freshen up my room) and I'm really full (from pancakes). The laundry is calling my name (not literally - I don't think I've gone crazy yet). But I was an idiot, today when I went to Tesco's, I didn't save my change for the washing machine... and I'm too lazy to go and buy something to get change. Besides, I had already bought all the things I needed to buy and I hate it when I have to buy something for the sake of getting change. I'll reassess the urgency of the laundry later to see whether it's worth the effort...

Now I'm just writing lecture notes. I've -sort of - finished my tutorial work... I'm sure there's more to do but I can't be bothered anymore... I want to sleep. But I want to watch something good and entertaining. Dramas, for some reason, it's hard to concentrate lately... and I think most dramas now are pretty slow pasted and it's just a little annoying. Animes, I think I've watched most of the good ones, of course, there are always more out there, e.g. Ghost In The Shell that I'm yet to watch; and I still need to finish Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood.

I can't wait till tomorrow is over with for several reasons: I have three lectures and two tutorials tomorrow... I know it's only five hours (it's just like a normal day of school) but considering I have an average of two to three hours of uni a day... fivez hours suddenly seems so demanding. Also, I'l be seeing Na-chan tomorrow night. I'll be in London for a three-day weekend to meet my friend Ricardo who's from Portugal! I can't wait to see him =] and I'll be staying at Na's place... reminds me, I need to pack... I hate packing... When I'm going away for the weekend, I pack like I'm going away for a week. When I'm go home for a week, I pack like I'm going to a desert island for a month T_T

Also, this netbook, to take or not to take?
Take = not bored on the train. Plus I'm doing this photo project where I take ten photos each day... that way I can upload my photos each day. But it's heavy and adds to my luggage.
Not take = I'll have to read a book on the train instead. But I'm also having problems concentrating when I'm reading recently. I can't upload my photos each day =[
Oh, the dilemmas in life xP
